ADT Forever
If you are an existing ADT customer, funded through work and income and have celebrated your 95th birthday, ADT will provide the medical service free of charge to you until the service is cancelled with ADT.

Safety boxes for keys
We recommend installing a tamper-proof box to enable you to leave a spare key outside. This means help can reach you even if you can’t open the door. ADT can provide you with one at no charge if required.

Medical Alarm Funding
ADT is a Ministry of Social Development (MSD) accredited and Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) approved provider for medical alarms in New Zealand. You may qualify for Government funding for our AT-Home or Anywhere service offerings through the Disability Allowance.

How do ADT personal alarms work?
NevaAlone Personal Alarm is easy to use. The user can press the personal help button on a base unit or mobile pendant to send an emergency alert to ADT.
Fall detection pendants can automatically send an alert if a fall occurs. ADT's trained professionals will then respond via a two-way voice feature to see what help is needed.
In the event of an alert, we will reach out to you across the two-way voice communicator on the pendant. If we do not receive a response, then our monitoring professionals will call the primary number we have on file to attempt to make contact a second time. If we still do not receive a response, then we will verify the location and follow the emergency dispatch instructions.
What is fall detection and how does it work?
Fall Detection is a personal alarm feature that can send an alert to ADT's trained monitoring professionals in the event of a fall, even if the help button has not been pushed. If able, users should always push their help button when they need assistance.
Currently, fall detection is only available with some pendants. Our wristwatch pendant does not have fall detection as it would increase the potential of false alarms due to how much the average person moves their arms daily.
*Fall detection pendants do not detect 100% of falls.
What is the lockbox?
The Lockbox is a container that keeps a door key easily accessible for emergency services to gain access in the event of an emergency. The lockbox combination is specific to each customer.
Can I wear my pendants in the shower?
ADT’s pendants are designed to be worn in the shower. They are IP67 rated, waterproof. We strongly recommend that you wear your pendants in the shower.
I have a pacemaker or defibrillator; will that have an impact on my medical alarm?
All our Mobile (Anywhere) GPS Pendants cannot be worn around the neck. However, the pendant can be worn on a split ring to a belt clip or keys.
At all times, the Mobile (Anywhere) GPS Pendants must be at least 15cm away from the pacemaker or implanted electronic device. Also, do not charge your Mobile (Anywhere) GPS Pendants near yourself and maintain at least a 15 cm distance from the charger.
How does cellular coverage work for Anywhere Mobile GPS Pendants?
All our Mobile (Anywhere) GPS Pendants require access to a 4G cellular network to communicate and the availability of GPS satellites to determine their location.
Certain atmospheric conditions, radio interference, buildings, or other forms of interference can delay or prevent our Mobile (Anywhere) GPS Pendants from working. Your location information may not be available if the GPS satellites are unavailable.
