An essential feature for emergencies, sophisticated video analytics enable your camera to automatically start recording when triggered by predetermined events like movement in specific areas.
Video Clips
Based on the actions you set, the system will record up to 30-second video clips. For example, you can automatically record every time your front door opens, pool lights turn on or movement is detected in areas there shouldn't be.
Visit the app library to review or download all video clips and easily identify trends or unusual behaviour.

For an extra layer of protection, ADT Interactive has the ability to integrate with your smoke and heat detectors. If smoke or heat is detected in your home, our 24/7 monitoring team will alert you and your chosen emergency contacts.
Our detectors are always active, so even if your alarm system is unarmed, the ADT team is always ready to support you and your family in an emergency.
Intruder detection
Monitor the inside of your home and secure key entry points like doors and windows with passive infrared detectors (PIRs or motion detectors), door and window sensors and break glass detectors.

Does ADT have a mobile app?
Yes, the ADT Interactive App is available for all of our home security customers. You can download it from the App Store.
What does the ADT Interactive App do?
With the app, you can control your home security systems like alarms and cameras from your phone or smart device.
If your system includes home automation, your smart devices can also be controlled, accessed and viewed from the app. Other features include setting Geo-fences, scenes, garage door controls, thermostat settings and more.
Do I need the ADT Interactive app on my phone?
ADT Interactive isn't required to operate your security system; however, without the App, you may miss out on many of the features your equipment is capable of and run the risk of important settings being left unchanged.
While you can install the App on all Apple devices like iPads or Apple Watches, we recommend downloading it on your iPhone as it's more likely your mobile device will be accessible during critical moments.

Is the ADT App free?
Yes! Existing customers can download the ADT Interactive Security App free of charge from the Apple App Store and use their login credentials to access their system.

How do I set up the app?
The ADT App is designed to be quick and straightforward, with in-app prompts guiding you on how to set up your account and ensure your system is properly installed.

Does the app work without monitoring?
Yes, you don't need an ADT Self Setup security system or monitoring plan to use its cameras. However, a paid subscription to the ADT Interactive App is required to use your cameras.
